By ticking the box on the ‘Request A Tutor’ page of the website: www.lawtutor.co.uk you agree to be contractually bound by the following terms:

You are referred to as the ‘tutee’ and the person assisting you with the tutorial service is the ‘tutor’.

  1. Upon you completing the ‘Request A Tutor’ submission form and this website receiving payment in full from you, you will be contacted by a tutor within 24 hours, either by telephone or e-mail; unless the tutorial service you have requested relates to Level IA, in which case, a tutor will make contact with you within 1 hour of the tutor receiving confirmation of your payment.
  2. The purpose of the tutor’s initial contact will be to agree upon the appropriate time and date to perform the tutorial service. If it is to commence immediately, the time of the tutorial service shall run from the time the tutor determines it has commenced and shall cease from the time the tutor determines the service has come to an end.
  3. The tutorial service may be conducted by: telephone and/or e-mail and/or msn messenger and/or web cam and/or by personal meeting mutually agreed between the tutor and tutee.
  4. The tutor may provide to the tutee material including but not exclusive to model answers and/or mind map diagrams to assist the tutee in his/her understanding of the subject. However, such provision is at the sole discretion of the tutor. The tutee agrees that the provision of such material and/or information is the property of the tutor and the tutee shall not produce or reproduce any of the provided material and/or information, or pass off any such material or information the tutor shall provide, as the tutee’s own.
  5. The tutee agrees that they shall not hold the tutor liable for any loss or losses and/or expenses the tutee may incur during or following the provision of the tutorial service. This may include but not be exclusive to: travel costs, telephone costs, loss for exam failure, expenditure on books or other materials to assist with the tutorial service.
  6. Upon the tutor’s determination of the tutorial service coming to an end, this contract shall terminate and the tutor may terminate the tutorial service at any time, for any reason whatsoever. The tutor shall determine the circumstances of any refund to the tutee for premature termination and the tutor shall determine the amount of refund to the tutee. Premature termination is a termination by the tutor before the time the tutor had determined the tutorial service would come to an end.
  7. The tutorial service is:

    Level I – ½ hour tutorial = £15.00

    Level IA – ½ hour tutorial urgent = £25.00

    Level II – 1 hour tutorial = £ 25.00

    Level III - 3 hour tutorial = £ 40.00

    Level IV – 4 hour tutorial = £ 50.00

    Level V – 5 hour tutorial = £ 55.00

    Level VI – 6 hour tutorial = £60.00

    Level VII – 7 to 10 hour tutorial = £100.00
